Handcrafted, Lead-Free American Ceramics are made in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, by artisans who are continuing the American tradition of pottery making in a contemporary way. Emerson Creek Pottery pottery is formed of clay made onsite. Each piece is hand made, hand painted and fired in a gas kiln. Each pattern is a series of carefully planned strokes. No templates or stencils are used. The patterns are practiced and committed to memory. The artists paint the pattern again and again. Each piece is alike and yet different, like flowers in a field. We are currently featuring 14 different lines of ceramic pottery, including the signature line - Field of Iris, a classic since 1977. All of work offered here is microwave and dishwasher safe, lead free and ovenproof. Emerson Creek Pottery's ceramic pieces have been featured at Mt. Vernon, Monticello, and the Smithsonian Institute. Order fulfillment:We normally ship in-stock items within three days of receipt of the order. If the item is out of stock we will email you with the estimated date it will be ready to ship. Please keep in mind we offer hand made and handpainted pottery, and this can lead to a delay in shipping, especially if you ordered personalized pottery items.

Returns: Returns on undamaged items only accepted with prior factory approval and after obtaining Return Authorization Number. Return Authorization Number must be printed on outside of each box and sent to the designated address prepaid. NO returns will be accepted after 10 days of receipt of shipment. A 20% restocking fees will be charged on each return. Shipping charges will not be refunded. Merchandise returned without prepaid shipping will not be credited. Check our return policy for more information. If your pottery arrives damaged, save breakage and packing materials and email us. We will send out an immediate replacement to you.

Defects: All of our pottery is hand-crafted and it should be understood that slight variations in size and appearance are characteristic of hand-crafted pottery. If you feel you received defective merchandise, please notify us within 10 days.
