Carol I, king of Romania, built
Built between 1377-1382 by the Queen Mary of Romania,
Each vase is hand carved and hand painted lead free crystal and numbered 1-100 for authenticity. Peles Castle in 1873. (Item #6401). His chambers are majestic, with very intriguing detailed carvings on the walls and superb hand paintings, each room a work of art in itself. The castle was one of the first in Europe to feature a very ingenious system of air conditioning. the Bran Castle was used as a military fortress and residence. (Item#6402) It is known as the one time residence of Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), leader of Wallachia and Transilvania in the 1400s and known as "Count Dracula" in the western world.
The Hunedoara Castle
was built before 1409 and is a 14th century Gothic Masterpiece. (Item #6403). Vlad Tepes, the Romanian leader known in our society as " Count Dracula" was held captive by his enemies in this castleās horrific prison for a number of years.
